Job Summary:
A school in Aba is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced fine and applied digital art instructor to train and mentor young students. The ideal candidate will provide both theoretical and practical instruction in art, design and creative techniques in contemporary digital art. Use of digital art software (Photoshop, GIMP, Canva or similar) is a BASIC requirement for this position.
Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s or higher degree with a major or minor in Arts is essential.
• Experience of at least 2 years is preferred.
• Experience with film and video production, editing, cinematography techniques, photo editing, graphic design and visual communication strategies would be highly advantageous in this position.
• Software knowledge required: Photoshop (Canva or GIMP), Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro and iMovie (or similar)
• Must have experience with web-based content management systems, video optimization and archival techniques.
• Demonstrates mastery of related subject matter, instructional skills, and resource materials for teaching.
• Creates standardized lesson plans, which drives instruction through formative assessment and differentiation.
• Maintains an organized class and supports students’ independent learning, collaboration and choice.
• Utilizes a variety of effective instructional and classroom management techniques.
• Provides a variety of assessments and uses assessments for planning and instruction.
• A specialization in fine arts, visual arts, or studio arts is beneficial.
● Experience using online teaching platforms is required.
● Certification or a license from an educational institute is an added advantage.
