Job Summary:
A school in Aba is seeking passionate and skilled music teachers to deliver high-quality music education to students. The ideal candidate will teach both theoretical and practical aspects of music and support students’ musical development. The principal instrument will be the keyboard. Applicants should expect that the schedules for some classes will fall on weekends (typically Saturdays).
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach music theory and practical music lessons
• Train students in vocal and/or instrumental music
• Prepare students for performances, assemblies, and school events
• Develop lesson plans in line with the curriculum
• Assess and monitor students’ musical progress
• Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment
Requirements & Qualifications:
• NCE / Bachelor’s Degree in Music or Music Education (or equivalent)
• 1–3 years teaching experience (preferred)
• Ability to teach music theory and practice
• Ability to play the keyboard plus one or more musical instruments
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Choir training experience
• TRCN registration (or equivalent)
