Job Summary
A manufacturing company in Umuahia has openings for chemical engineers to support its daily operations. The successful applicant must have experience supporting chemical process operations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth daily production and compliance with industrial safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Contribute to process design and development projects.
• Operate industrial equipment and processes.
• Monitor and report on the operating state of industrial process units.
• Ensure safety and operational wellbeing in the production area
• Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machines
• Identify and report faults or production issues promptly
• Comply with safety and quality control standards
• Keep simple production and daily operation records.
• Contribute to smooth workflow and logistics within the factory
Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum of HND/B.Sc./B.Eng. in chemical engineering or related sciences.
• 1 - 3 years’ experience in industrial operations
• Sound knowledge of unit operations
• Ability to follow hygiene, safety, and quality procedures
• Physically fit and willing to work shifts if required
• Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.
• Experience in operating modern production equipment
• Experience in industrial bakery or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) production would be an advantage.
