Job Summary
A manufacturing company in Umuahia has openings for laboratory analysts to support its daily operations. The successful applicant must have experience supporting synthetic as well as analytical operations. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth daily production and compliance with quality control regulations.


Key Responsibilities
•    Ensure daily compliance with stipulated quality and operating standards.
•    Contribute to the development of quality control standards and related standard operating procedures. 
•    Operate laboratory equipment and processes. 
•    Monitor and report on the operating state of quality control units.
•    Ensure safety and operational wellbeing in the production area
•    Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory and analytical equipment.
•    Identify and report faults or production issues promptly
•    Comply with safety and analytical standards
•    Keep relevant analytical records (using an electronic laboratory notebook).
•    Contribute to smooth workflow and logistics within the factory. 
•    Be willing to work shifts in line with the supported process operations. 

Requirements & Qualifications
•    Minimum of HND/B.Sc./B.Eng. in laboratory science, chemistry, industrial chemistry, chemical engineering or related sciences. 
•    1 - 3 years’ experience in industrial operations
•    Sound knowledge of quality control operations
•    Ability to follow hygiene, safety, and quality procedures
•    Physically fit and willing to work shifts if required
•    Honest, responsible, and detail-oriented.
•    Experience in operating modern laboratory equipment 
•    Experience in industrial bakery or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) production would be an advantage.
